Its almost christmas! I am remembering how we hung are stockings on the fireplace with care! How I wish to be a kid again and you were here!!!!!!!
I miss you Dad. Its hard to be in the christmas spirit when your heart is filled with so much sadness for the one person who made are family christmases what they were! Now I am back here in your house that you and mom made are home and you are not! I feel you all around me thou and that is what will get me thru yet another christmas without you! What I would give to go back in time. If only we knew what was to be! You think your parents will live forever when you were young and then life shows you how that is not true. Memories! Nice, happy, fun memories are what we have of you! Merry Christmas Dad! Love You!

Dad,
This poem I wrote for you today.
In memory of you on 10/19/10
Dad's Poem
Two years have gone by
and not a day I didn't cry
I ask why did you have to die
and go way up high in the sky
I wasn't ready to say good-bye
to my Dad who was such a great guy
I know it was your time to fly
way up into the heavenly skies
I will never understand the reason why
God needed you more by his side
You left us all with broken hearts
and memories that will never part
missing you has become an art
the days are filled with dark
I wish of days in the park
seeing you happy as a lark
you never told me I wasn't smart
If only you could be a part
of one more day
I'd have to say
I miss you Dad
so very bad
that I am sad
not just today!

Dear Cousin, Betty and children,
This is belated, but, please know that my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. I learned of Gino's passing while in Endicott to attend my brother John Jr.'s funeral (which we were all shocked about), on October 28, 2008. I used to drive your Aunt Mary Franchini Roma (my Mother) to Albany all the time and we visited all of the Franchini's and the Scisci's families. I always remember Gino being so friendly as well as beautifully talented in his workmanship on his home. He was so proud of his children, and, I was proud to be related to him. Again, please accept my "belated" condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love, Cousin Linda and family

Dear Mrs. Franchini & Family,
I am so very sorry to have read about Mr. Franchini's passing. For so many wonderful years I played at your home with Angela and Gina and always felt so welcome and safe. There was always a warm smile and an even warmer meal to share. I will always carry the memories of a loving family with Gino and you at the helm. I know that he is sitting deservedly with our Lord. Warm regards and a warm hug.
In love and friendship,

Marino & Family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your dad. I, too, lost my dad only two days earlier. So, I know how you and your family must feel at this time. You have been a friend & colleague for upwards of 40 years and that friendship will continue no matter how many miles apart we are. I hope all is well under the circumstances and that you will remember the wonderful times you had with your dad.

Daddy,
This is probaly the hardest thing I have ever had do. I am at a lose of words to truly express what is in my heart. I can only try to put it into words. I see a man that has taught me so much, first material things do not come easy, you have to want it and you must work for it. And he did everyday. He was the hardest working man I know. Family. It was so important to him. yes we all had our problems, but in the end he still loved us. I am the mother today because of him. I yell boy can I yell. I love my family I feel the louder I am the more they will know I love them. Dad you our my hero. I love you more now then ever, I hope I made you proud, like I am of you. I cant wait to wrap my arms around you again. I love you and am proud to be called your daughter.
Love Angela

Dear Papa,
Im not gonna lie to you, this is so much harder than I ever thought it would be. As you know yesterday was my Birthday. All day everyone kept saying that they were sorry my birthday wasn't better. My only wish is that I could stop the hurt in everyones heart, but for me I have peace knowing that your heart is no longer hurting. We know that you are in a much better place now and no longer hurting, and for that I am truly grateful. Please know that we will take care of everything down here just as you have tought us. We will miss you so very much!! I love you.

Dearest Papa,
I want to take this time to let you know that you are sadly missed and I'm sorry for not coming to see you as often as I should have. I want you to know that you have taught me many things in my life, but the most important thing you taught me is your family. You showed me just how important it is to have family as well as traditions and to ALWAYS take care of your family. I live by this everyday, because of you. I only which now that I had more time with you. I love you with all my heart and will miss you. Thank you for being the greatest Papa there is.

Dad,
You taught me so many different things and for that I will forever be grateful that you were my father. But the two most important things you instilled in me - I need to thank you for: The first being that family is the most important and the responsibilities to provide and protect them is not for the weak of heart. I hope I can do as well providing and protecting my family as you did with us.
The second is that you never ever had to say "I love you", we just knew by the way you got up everyday, kissed mom good-bye, and went to work. You may have never said those three words to us, but you lived them. All seven of us kids never wanted anything because you gave us everything we needed. And for that dad, "I love you".

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
