Danish, Grace (Dowling) GREEN ISLAND Grace Dowling Danish, 88, died Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen Danish who died on July 17, 2011. Born in Green Island, daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Clark Dowling, she resided in Troy for 30 years and Florida for 22 years, returning to Green Island in 2010. Grace had been employed at Samaritan Hospital in Troy as a credit collections clerk for 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. She is the loving mother of Timothy Danish of Green Island, John (Karen) Danish of Colonie and the late Joseph, Michael and Anne Marie Danish; mother-in-law of Charlotte Danish of Florida; grandmother of John, Stephen, Donald and Tyler Danish; great-grandmother of Jonathan; sister of the late John and William Dowling. Funeral from the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Ave., Green Island on Monday at 9 a.m. and at St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be beside her husband in Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in memory of Grace to St. Peter's Hospice Inn, 315 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
