Helen Askew Obituary
ALBANY - Helen Ann (Pilatich) Askew, 86 of Albany, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2023, at Ross Memorial Nursing Home in Georgia, where she had been a patient.
She was born in Alsen, N.Y. on September 30, 1936, the beloved daughter of the late Joseph Pilatich Sr. and Anna (Hajec) Pilatich. Helen worked for New York State for 42 years in various positions, the latest being with the Department of Transportation. Helen was an avid Bingo player and loved having her nieces and nephews join her in playing the game.
Helen was married to the late Howard "Bob" Askew. Helen is survived by her sisters, Josephine Balfe, Katherine Dimler, Mildred Dagner, and Mary Hough; and her brother, Stephen Pilatich. She is also survived by her many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her siblings, John Pilatich, Louis Pilatich, Joseph Pilatich Jr., Anthony Pilatich, Jane Pilatich, and Carol Weideman.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. Helen will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 27, in the Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.

Sorry for your loss. We have not had contact with anyone in the family in years. Helen was married to my husband's brother Howard. After Howard and his mother Helen past away we lost contact. My husband Ken and I want send our condolences on the loss of Helen.
