Helen T. Gabriele

Gabriele, Helen T. YARMOUTHPORT, Mass. Helen T. (Remillard) Gabriele of Yarmouthport, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of Antonio Gabriele for 59 years. Mrs. Gabriele was born and raised in Burlington, Vt., the daughter of the late Emma (Boileau) and Alphonse Remil-lard. Mrs. Gabriele earned her degree in nursing from Fanny Allen Hospital, Winooski, Vt. in 1948. She worked as a registered nurse at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Conn. for 30 years. She retired in 1987. Mrs. Gabriele enjoyed knitting for family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children, Dr. Gary A. Gabriele, dean of engineering, Villanova University, Pa.., Mary L. Gabriele, RN, medicare fraud analyst, New England, Anthony D. Gabriele, MSME, division chief, Benet Lab, Watervliet, N.Y. and Dr. Carol Ann Gabriel, director of school of nursing, Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, Conn. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her sister, Rita Couture of Burlington, Vt. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth, Mass. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Mass. Calling Hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Morris & O'Connor Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth.
