Howard Jordan Obituary

Jordan, Howard L. GLENMONT Howard L. Jordan, 90, entered eternal life Monday, April 21, 2008 at home with his loving wife by his side. Howard was an Army veteran serving during World War II. In 1980, he retired after many years of service with the Operating Engineers Local 106. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem and the Bethlehem Grange. Howard's life passions in addition to the love of his family were gardening, fishing, water sports, camping, traveling and working with his hands. Survivors include his wife, Esther G. Smith Jordan of Glenmont; children, P. Susan Jordan of Garrison, N.Y., Keith H. Jordan and Brian L. Jordan, both of Glenmont; daughter-in-law, Arlene Jordan of Selkirk; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Howard was predeceased by his son, James W. Jordan; five sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem. Friends may call at the church prior to the service starting at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Howard may be made to the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem or the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Service.

Mrs.Jordan and family,Sorry to hear of your loss.I remember growing up on 1st.ave.Mr.Jordan would let us eat all the mullberries,he would say ,boy your going to get sick eating all those berries.He was right.God bless you all.

Aunt Esther, Suzy, Keith, Brian, Arlene and families,
May Uncle Howard now be at peace forever. I know Grammy and Jim are welcoming him with open arms :). My memories of Uncle Howard are warm and kind. I can still picture him coming in from the garden with a red face, white hair and always, a GREAT BIG SMILE!!
