Ilene Piotrowski Obituary
ALBANY - Ilene M. Piotrowski, 92, went home to the Lord on July 14, 2024. She died peacefully at Teresian House Nursing Home, Albany, N.Y., after a long illness, where she resided since 2018. Ilene worked for the Federal Government, the Carl Company until its closing and retired from the Schenectady Gazette as a switchboard operator. She was a devoted Catholic, liked to travel in her younger days and loved cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, H. Elizabeth (Raymond) Gohra; and her only grandson, Jason; a niece, nephews and cousins.
Ilene donated her body to AMC's Anatomical Gift Program.
A memorial service will be held at a future date, followed by a Christian burial at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association of Albany.
