Irene Weinberg Obituary

Weinberg, Irene C. CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. Irene C. Weinberg, age 68, of Clifton Park, died on Monday, July 27, 2009 at the Avenue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady. Mrs. Weinberg was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and has been a Capital District resident for many years. She was married to Robert Weinberg until his passing in 1991. Mrs. Weinberg worked in NYS Government for many years retiring five years ago. She was an avid animal lover and active in many animal support groups. She was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom in Clifton Park and a former member of Temple Israel in Albany. She is survived by a son, David Weinberg of Glenmont, N.Y. and a brother, Paul Seide of Calif. and a sister, Trudy Kern of N.J. She also leaves a grandson, Matthew Weinberg and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at the Beth Shalom Cemetery, Schermerhorn Street in Rotterdam, N.Y. on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Animals, the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society or Greenpeace.
