Jake Eberwein Obituary
SCHENECTADY - On March 7, 2025, after a lengthy illness, Jake Eberwein entered into eternal rest, and is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Patricia (nee June); his beloved son, David (Erica); his adored granddaughters, Maggie and Katrina; his brother, Allen; his sister, Bonnie; many in-laws, nieces and nephews; and his large church family. Funeral service Friday, 11:30 a.m., at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave., Delmar, N.Y. Viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the church. See meyersfuneralhome.com for details.

I was shocked to see Jake's name in the obituaries. I hoped each day that I read them that I wouldn't see anyone I know. But my luck finally ran out. Jake was a very nice, kind man and I know that he will be very much missed by everyone who knew him. Working with Jake at Children and Family Services was a pleasure, and I thought about him and others there often long after I left for greener pastures. Know that he will always be in my prayers for as long as I have breath in me. Hopefully I will meet up with him on the other side when it is my time. Keep the good memories of him close to your heart daily, and God's light will shine on you and console you.
