My Dearest Pop,
There are so many words to describe the impact that you had on all of you family's lives. The compound will never be the same without you in the middle, holding all of us together. The meomories I have of you will always be with me, especially through my father. He is so much like you. During your mass, when Aunt Bobbie was talking about how you used to take your wallet out and put it on the mantle and open your home to all of the neighborhood. I now know where my fahter gets it from-all through you. You generosity throughout our lives has been immense and will never be forgotten. I know you are in heaven with Grandma, and hopefully she is making you pancakes, always throwing away the first one. Please watch over us throughout the remainder of our lives.

Uncle Jim provided so many wonderful stories of my dad with the Childs family and loved us all unconditionally. He was such an incredible, jovial man, stern at times but overflowing with love. He is missed, but I know he's having an amazing time in Heaven with my parents,Guy and Patricia, Aunt Teddy and Uncle John, and the love of his life, Aunt Barbara. It's a party up there--let's celebrate his 94 amazing years. xoxox

I had the privilege of meeting Mr Aiello and several of his devoted family members while visiting a friend at the VA. That his family members took the time to speak with kindness to my friend when he shared a room with Mr Aiello spoke volumes about what an example he must have set for his children and grandchildren! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I remember the Sunday midday trips to the Thatcher St. warehouse or office to give Mom and Aunt Barbara a break -- chasing fire engines, the snapping of the belt (I broke my belt immitating Uncle Jim tonight, now I need red suspenders).
Thank you Peter for saying so eloquently what I am sure all of the Ford's feel.

To the family and friends of Jim Aiello,
It was my privilege to serve with Jim as a member of the Appeals Board at the NYS Dep't. of Motor Vehicles. His thoughtful, common sense approach to the issues before us was an asset to the deliberative process. From a personal standpoint, Jim was a gentleman and someone with whom I enjoyed conversing. Please accept my sincere condolences on his passing.

Uncle Jim is, was and will always be the iconic figure of the Aiello family, and of the large extended family which he, Aunt Barbara and so many cherished, brave and bold ancestors forged. They are all giants, and he will be remembered, without doubt, fondly, and with lots of laughter, gratitude, and love.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
