James M. Endres Sr.

RENSSELAER James M. Endres Sr., 80, of Harrison Ave., died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born, raised and lived his entire life in Rensselaer, he was a truck driver for CAEDS in Rensselaer prior to his retirement several years ago. Jim was a life member of the Ring Fire Co. and past foreman. He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of the Gerald O'Neil Post #1683. Mr. Endres was predeceased by his parents, Edward J. and Mary (Heffernin) Endres, a sister, Sally Cleary and a brother, Edward J. Endres Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Alice (Smith) Endres of Rensselaer; a daughter, Alice France of Guilderland; a son, James M. Jr. and his wife Sandra Endres of Rensselaer; and a sister, Elizabeth (Betty) McLean of East Greenbush. Also survived by three grandsons, Eric and wife Dana, Brad and Matthew; and great-granddaughter, Mae Elizabeth; brother-in-law of Sylvia and Otis Coleman, Irene Ross, Robert and Barbara Smith, Henry and Alice Smith, Joan and the late John S. Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday 9:00 from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk. and 9:30 at St. Johns St. Ann's Church, Green St., Albany, N.Y. where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
