James Gannon Obituary

Gannon, James E. Jr. STILLWATER James E. Gannon Jr., 71, of Hudson Ave., died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Van Rensselaer Manor, Troy, after a short illness. Born in Troy, May 30, 1942, Jim was the son of the late James and Mary Fordham Gannon, and brother of the late Mary Ellen Gannon Higgins and her husband James. Jim was a dedicated employee of the Saratoga County Highway Dept. for 32 years, retiring in 1998. Though never married and having one sister, Jim had a large number of cousins and lifelong friends. A man with a kind word for all, he was happy visiting with all at the local Stewarts store and the former north end diner. Survivors include several caretakers, cousins and many friends. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 10 a.m. at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 881 Hudson Ave., Stillwater. Burial in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So.
