James Hillebrandt Obituary
HALFMOON - Jim Hillebrandt, 79, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, peacefully at home, in Halfmoon, N.Y. Born in Troy, N.Y., he was the son of the late James and Mary Bertasso Hillebrandt. Jim was a truck driver for Hannaford for 25 years and had been presented a two million mile no accident award. He retired in 2012 and began taking cooking lessons and then built himself an outdoor pizza oven. He loved entertaining and cooking for his family and friends. He even made up a special pizza dance.
He was survived by his wife of 53 years, Debbie (Perreault) Hillebrandt; his son, Greg (Sara) Hillebrandt; a brother, Joe (Barb) Hillebrandt; and sister, Jeanne Plumadore.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, N.Y. 12189, with a memorial service to begin at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers/donations, the family asks that random acts of kindness be done in Jim's memory.
