Jeanette MacDonald Obituary

MacDonald, Jeanette K. COLONIE Jeanette K. MacDonald, 95, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017, after many years of living in her own home with the support of loving family. Mrs. MacDonald was predeceased by her husband, Fred MacDonald. Together they had four children, Patricia (James) Walter, Larry (Lea) Mac Donald, James (Sheila) MacDonald, and Mark (Kathy) MacDonald. Jeanette MacDonald grew up on a farm in Schoharie County and raised her family in Colonie, where she worked diligently with her husband to build the Colonie Little League and worked at the A&P Grocery. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and her beloved beagle, Barnie. In addition to her children, she is survived by her sister, Christine Robarge (age 98), and 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Thursday May 25, at 10 a.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home Colonie. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday May 24, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. reillyandson.com
