ALBANY - Jennie F. Williams, age 83, passed away surrounded by family on January 10, 2025.
She was born in Guyana, South America, the daughter of the late Louisa Isabella Williams and James Felix Williams. She was also predeceased by her brother, Howard Williams; and sister, Mayleen Collins.
Jennie was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College and the Albany Business College. She worked as a Claims Examiner at Empire Blue Cross-Blue Shield. Her true passion was charity work through her church, the Red Cross, and the Alzheimer's Association.
She is survived by her son, Michael Williams; and her sister, Bernadette Walcott. Also survived by a host of other family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours, on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, N.Y. 12205. All are invited to attend her funeral services on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 21 Hackett Blvd., Albany, N.Y. 12208.
In lieu of flowers, make charitable donations in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Red Cross or to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
