Jill E. Hanzalik Obituary

Hanzalik, Jill E. and Chase Thomas WEST DOVER, Vt. Jill E. (Harrington), 33, and Chase Thomas Hanzalik, infant son of also Joseph Hanzalik, died Monday, April 25, 2010, at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Mass. Mrs. Hanzalik, formerly of Bernardston, was born in Greenfield, Mass. on September 4, 1976, the daughter of Philip Harrington and Wendy Dubois. She was a graduate of Pioneer Valley Regional School in 1994, and the University of Mass. in 1998 with a bachelor degree in sports management. She was married to Joseph on May 16, 2009 in West Dover. She had worked for the Dallas Maverick's Basketball Team and the National Basketball Association in business development, events, and attractions, working very closely with the United States Olympic Basketball Team. She was presently employed at New Chapter in Brattleboro, Vt. in management. She was a wonderful wife and very close to her entire family including aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was the love of Joe's life. They are survived by Jill's husband and Chase's father, Michael; her parents and his maternal grandparents, Philip Harrington and his wife Sharon of Turners Falls, Mass. and her mother and maternal grandmother, Wendy Dubois of Bernardston; her brothers and his uncles, Adam and his wife Kearstin of Bernardston and Kevin and his wife Kelly of West Dover; two stepsisters and step-aunts, Leighann Parda and Angela Whelan; her father and mother-in-law and his paternal grandparents, Joanne and Thomas Hanzalik of Albany, N.Y.; brothers-in-law and uncles, Matthew Hanzalik and his wife Tamara of Albany, and Thomas Hanzalik of Albany; nieces and nephews and his cousins, Jayden, Aiden, Addison and Liam. A combined funeral service will be Saturday, April 1 at 9:15 a.m. from the Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave., Northfield, Mass., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Main St., Northfield. The Rev. Thomas Lisowski, administrator, will officiate. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Bernardston. Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
