ALBANY - Joan M. Juliano, 94 of Albany, passed away surrounded by her family on July 22, 2023, at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center.
She was born in Albany to the late Frank and Nellie (Bowles) Ray. Joan was a eucharistic minister and a long-time parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. She loved spending time at her camp on Sacandaga Lake with her family and enjoyed playing Scrabble and doing crossword puzzles. In her later years, after the passing of her husband, she began traveling with her son, Michael to places such as the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and Niagara Falls.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband of almost 50 years, Vincent; her son, Thoma; and siblings, Frank, Shirley, and Eleanor. Joan is survived by her loving children, Vincent (Emily) Juliano, Mark (Colleen) Juliano, Michael Juliano, and Janice Juliano (John); grandchildren, Jaimy (Topeka), and Teigan (Nick); great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Fiona, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for their exceptional care.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, from 4 - 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie. A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 29, at 9 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany.
Memorials are suggested to the Blessed Sacrament Church in lieu of flowers.
