Joel Sigal Obituary
GLENMONT - Joel N. Sigal, 72, died suddenly, at home, on Friday, September 26, 2025. He was the son of the late Julius and Julia (Bromberg) Sigal.
Joel is survived by his wife of 48 years, Claire Hollander Sigal; his daughter, Emily; his son, Jed (Elyse); his grandson, Riley; his sister, Andrea (Stephen) Pillsbury; and nieces and nephews. Joel was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Katz.
Joel grew up in West Hartford, Conn., and graduated from the University of Hartford with a B.S. in Business Administration. He raised his family in Glenmont, and was Director of Operations for Custom Auto Radio Distributors in Albany, working with his best friend, Marc Marholin, for 41 years.
For all the ways Joel showed his love, he will be dearly missed.
Those wishing to remember Joel in a special way can make a memorial contribution in his name to your local food pantry, or Congregation Ohav Shalom, Albany.
Funeral services for Joel will be held graveside, on Monday, September 29, at 12:30 p.m., at The Independent Benevolent Cemetery, 260 Fuller Rd., in Albany.

Was surprised and saddened to hear of Joel's passing from a mutual friend, Mike Fagin. I was one of those kids in our old neighborhood in WEHA who hung out with Joel, and as I vaguely recall, I went on a double date with him and our dates in our teen years. He was a fun spirited guy, and I enjoyed his company. May his memory be a blessing.
