John Brothers Obituary
LAKE GEORGE - Dr. John Theodore "Ted" Brothers passed away peacefully at his home on Lake George on October 26, 2023.
Ted lived every day expressing his faith, his love of family, of animals, of wooden boats, and his dedication to all those less fortunate around the world. He was a fighter for causes of environmental justice and for peace globally. He was dedicated to serving others through Rotary International, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and the United Church of Christ.
Ted was predeceased by the love of his life, Noel Catherine. He is remembered by his children, Peter, Toby and Andrew.
Ted was memorialized at the Caldwell Presbyterian Church in Lake George, and buried in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors.

Peter and Family, I have always admired your Dad's stamina, verve and fulsome, joyful life. Back in 2015 at my first Antique and Classic Boat Society show on the docks of Lake George Village, your Dad amazed me with his scampering around to secure dock lines to your century-old launch. If my math serves me, he would have been sprawled out here in his mid-80s; his Navy seamanship on full display probably 60 years later. We should all hope to be so spry!
He was wonderful and will be sorely missed.

Ted was a delight to visit, many times I sat while he spoke of his full and joyful life. There were a few times I drove him to appointments during which he shared his life stories of family, service and travels. I shall miss him.
