I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing. He taught my daughter Moli and her friends' tennis at Blatnick Park in Niskayuna. He was so patient with them and seemed to truly enjoy teaching tennis to anyone who had an interest. He bragged often about his tennis kids and how hard they worked and the restorative powers of pickle juice. lol To his family, thank you for sharing him with so many. The world lost a great one. I hope there is some comfort in knowing just how many grieve with you. God bless and comfort you. Thank you John for all you did for so many.

John was my tennis coach during my junior year of high school, and I have to say that he was one of the greatest people I have ever known. He was always full of energy and ready to help. He was the reason I was able to even compete with others in tennis. It was sad seeing him go this way, wish I could spend more time with him learning Tennis. May his soul rest in peace.
Sincerely, Aditya.

My tennis group has played next to John and his group at Fairwood for many years. Before we knew John, his brother Chuck played in our tennis group. We always enjoyed chatting before and after our court time. John's love of tennis led him to pass his knowledge on to many students over the years. He will be missed greatly by all in the tennis community. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Elaine and family, I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. I sit here knowing that you had many wonderful years together that will now be memories; they will be important when you begin to smile again. I won't be able to get there this coming weekend but know that I am there in spirit and feel my arms embrace you. I love you and we will get together when I can get up that way (shooting for June). Stay strong -- love you

John,
You are a wonderful human being. There are so many stories and anecdotes you have shared with me and my kid over the years. Such a memorable and enjoyable experience. She is looking forward to the summer tennis camp this year and she is gutted. Fairwoods Courts will never be the same without you. These are the times I feel Life isn't fair. May God provide the strength to your family to handle this irrepairable loss. May You RIP!!!
With lots of Sorrow and Fondness...
