I am not one to judge but Mr. Font lived an outstanding life. He was blessed with a great sense of humor, a terrific family and a spectacular marriage. I am saddened by the loss of this great man. My belated sympathies to Pat, John Jr., Mark, Trisha, and Davia.

December 1, 2012

Dear Pat and Family - we were shocked and saddened to learn of John's death. He was a good friend to Bob for many, many years. Our home is filled with memories of John. There is only one room in our entire home that John did not remodel, repair or totally renovate. He was a wonderful, talented man. He was funny, he was philosophical, he was just a GREAT guy. We shared so many cups of coffee, a beer or two at Tommy's and have such wonderful memories. John (Mr. Fonzarelli as I always called him) will be missed so much by Bob and me.
God bless you, Pat and your family.
With sympathy, Bob & Betty Raffaele

Pat, Remembering all the fun times we shared brings the biggest smile to my face:). How he aggravated and pushed the buttons of us "liberated" women. Then the smile would start. Great man, whom I'll never forget. Praying for you and knowing we'll always be in touch through the wonderful grandchildren we share. Bless you all.

To the Fontanelli Family: Although our families drifted apart over the years as we moved on with our lives, I still remember the good times when we all lived on Park Avenue--the Fontanellis, Espositos, Iadiciccos, Gearharts and Gilmans. I have many wonderful memories of our families from all those years ago. I know Johnny is now sitting at the banquet table in Heaven with the rest of our family who have left us. I'm very sorry for your loss. Cousin Georgianne (Gilman) Crabill

Dear Pat, Trish, Davia, John and Mark, I am deeply sorry for your loss. My fondest memories with John Sr. were the New Years Eve at your home and John wore that funny hat. WE laughed till we cried. My Uncle Johnny was truly a compassionate man with great ability. His true gifts went far beyond that of a craftsman. When my family was in need he was there for us and especially my dad something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Men like these are hard to find. His loss to this family goes far beyond him not being here anymore. Who we are today is defined by the influence he has had in our lives. Thank you Uncle Johnny for making my life better and for being you.

Some of my greatest arguments were with Mr. Font., my hair and my face became one color. Between the blood boiling and the red wine many nights were filled with laughter, heat and great times. During such time, Mr. Font dared me to show up to his work site and work, since I was a girl and really couldn't handle "real work", well anyone who knows me, can guess I showed up and worked. I was not only on time, but the first to arrive. I worked putting up shelves and ducking bats with Johnny, I had a great time. I have wonderful memories with Fontanelli family that I will cherish all of my days. It was a pleasure to meet and spend time with you Mr. Font. Love Tina Mirabile
