John Gosse Obituary

Gosse, John W. "Bill"
DALLAS, Texas - John W. "Bill" Gosse Sr., went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 21, 2025.
He was born on March 2, 1948, in Troy, N.Y., to John Davis Gosse and Jacquelyn (Kiley) Gosse Rodd.
Bill served in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Forces Specialist, where he trained German Shepherd Scouts at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he began a distinguished career with Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. and later with Prudential Financial, serving in executive management roles and earning professional designations CLU, ChFC, and LUTCF.
Bill was often the life of the party. Music was a special joy to him, especially playing his guitars.
He is survived by wife of 13 years, Duane (Lindsay) Gosse; his children, William, Erick (Julie), Garth (Nancy), John Jr. (Paola), and Gabina Savage; his sisters, Linda (Walt) Maguire and Cindy (Dave) Winchell; as well as 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Earl Rodd and Jacquelyn Rodd; his son, Darrell; his sister, Bonnie Falk; and his brother, Jason Rodd.
Bill was larger than life with a personality to match. He was taken from us too soon and will be truly missed.
Donations can be made in Bill's honor to American Lung Association, 418 Broadway, Albany, N.Y. 12207 or online.

Cindy & Linda. May you know God's peace during these days. I recall Bill's friendly face from so many years ago now. With love.
