So many things have changed over the years. But one thing never changes: we all miss you. You would be thrilled with this weekend, with the Belmont at Saratoga. Keep watching over all of us & if you have some Mega Millions & Powerball numbers, send them our way.

Wow! It's been a year already and it still feels like it was only yesterday. Well, I still say a prayer everytime I hear a Beatles song. That is an accomplishment, since I listen to oldies a lot. I just wish it didn't hurt so bad for Jeanne and LJ & Janelle and all of us who loved you so much. You will always be with us, John. You will always be my favorite brother-inn-law! Patty

How do we convey just how we feel

When we lose someone we love?

How do we explain the deep, lonely pain the emptiness left in us?

No words can express the hurt and anguish nor touch on how we feel

in time, we'll heal.

The hopes and the dreams we had just remains like an unfinished book of their life. As an incomplete chapter remains unfinished with nothing more to write but we can know God’s comfort

and know there is hope, with a new chapter to begin. For He loves us so much and fills the void within.

As we close one chapter another can begin though the one we love has gone, through Christ’s strength in us and hope in our hearts,

We can find courage to carry on.

You've touched so many lives, including my own. I will always remember that big smile and great sense of humor. The days at the track will never be the same. It's so hard to believe you're gone but it must be true that only the good die young. I love you and will always miss you, Uncle John!

To My Sister Jeanne, LJ & Janelle and my 2nd family, the Leonards:

These last few months have been so hard on all of you. We are all here together now, getting strength from each other. John is with Kate, Va and Robbie and looking out for all of us. Soon, we'll be sitting at the Cape, looking out at the ocean with our own special thoughts of John. My most recent favorite memory is from Christmas Eve, laughing with John in his Santa hat, and breaking the rules: "Only gifts for the kids!" Well, at Christmas, we are all kids, and I so enjoyed finding that perfect Giants or Yankees something that I knew he would enjoy. We will miss his smile and his laugh, but we will never forget what a great person John was. I'm sure he will always be with us in one way or another. Once again, John brings us all together and that's the way it should be. Until tomorow, Patty

I can't believe that you're gone. You leave behind so many people that will miss you. I will always remember your contagious smile. And it was you that gave me my first job in TV. I remember shooting about 100 takes at SPAC with you and I just couldn't get the lines right ("Rest and relaxation") Remember that?! How could you forget? I was absolutely horrible, cursing on tape, my ummms and ahhhs, but you gave me a shot anyway. I will cherish that memory of you forever. Rest in peace, Uncle John.
