Mullady, Esq., John B.
KINDERHOOK - John B. Mullady, Esq. (77) beloved, husband to Allenoosh I. Mullady, passed away on May 30, 2024, at home in Kinderhook, N.Y. with his wife by his side, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
John was born on February 26, 1947, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years; his two daughters, Gabriella Mullady her partner Brian and Daniela Mullady, her husband Tomas Almante and his grandchildren, Elara Elizabeth and twins, Juliette Claire and Emilia Allegra. Their frequent visits from NYC brought enormous joy to his life. Especially seeing his beautiful granddaughters.
John was a devoted and loving husband and father who always took great interest in his children's passions and was often their biggest cheerleader. He will be remembered fondly by them for his interesting conversations, great advice, taking them to Mets games and his robust and contagious laugh.
After graduating Brooklyn College he attended Tulane University followed by Houston University Law School. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1972 and New York State Bar in 1974.
He took a position in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office as Assistant District Attorney.
In 1980, he started his private practice in Brooklyn and then in Columbia County and upstate New York. He retired in 2018 after 45 years of practicing Law.
John loved the outdoors and spent many hours gardening and clearing his property. He enjoyed reading the classics and going to theater and reading his favorite author, Mark Twain.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Elsie; his son, John R.; his brother, Daniel; his nephew, Daniel and many aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Church, 1025 Kinderhook St., Valatie on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 11 AM - 12 Noon with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon celebrated by Rev. Steve Matthews, Pastor.
Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery Valatie.
