Thinking of Mr. Standish and his family on the anniversary of his passing. He was a great man and my father, Barr Morris, admired him very much.

Dear Pat,
My deepest condolences on your loss. We first met around the coffee table in the Siena faculty lounge. Later, as the Chair of the Library Committee, I remember meeting Spencer, you and your family at the dedication of the new library. You were all so gracious and I still have a special place in my memory of that meeting.
There is a Jewish phrase used when speaking of the recently departed that is most appropriate in this case; May his memory be for a blessing.
Take care,

Stacey Morris
