John Spencer Standish

Thinking of Mr. Standish and his family on the anniversary of his passing. He was a great man and my father, Barr Morris, admired him very much.

Dear Pat,
My deepest condolences on your loss. We first met around the coffee table in the Siena faculty lounge. Later, as the Chair of the Library Committee, I remember meeting Spencer, you and your family at the dedication of the new library. You were all so gracious and I still have a special place in my memory of that meeting.

My father, Barr Morris, had tremendous respect for Mr. Standish. He always spoke so highly of him. They were Albany Academy alum and went back a long way. Very sorry for your loss.
