Mr. Jorge has been a fixture at my uncle and cousin's barbershop since I can remember. It seems like everytime I walked up to go in he would always be sitting outside laughing and joking with my uncle. I am definitely going to miss being in his presence and hearing him laugh. Though we only had few talks one on one Mr. Jorge always encouraged me to do my best and congratulated me for being one of the few "young brothers" out here doing the right thing. Mr. Jorge will be missed dearly. My condolences go out to Mr. Jorge's family. May Mr. Jorge rest in peace

Wow, I don't even know where to begin. My entire family has known Jorge since we were knee high to a grasshopper. He was also so sweet and possessed a peaceful and gentle soul. He will always be remembers as the gentle giant because he was always much much taller than everyone else (even I have to smile at that). He always made us laugh and got along with everyone. I will remember him as the God fearing man that he was.
Although I never got a chance to meet his family, he spoke fondly of you always. Please find comfort in knowing that he is finally with the Lord and is at peace. My mom just passed away in January and I'm sure they are catching up. May God be with you in your days of sorrow and may He give you strength when you don't think you have any more left.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Jorge's passing. I last saw him in Kevin Coleman's Beauty Salon. He and I began talking and it was as though he had known me for years. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Very sorry to hear of Jorge's passing. I will miss his contagious laugh and good nature. During his early years with the APD, he was like a big brother to us teenagers in Arbor Hill, making sure there was no trouble. I will always remember him for that.
