My deepest sympathies to Joe's family. I worked with Joe for many years as an accountant with the NYS Education Department. Joe impressed me by his work ethic, honesty and conviction to do the right thing. He worked hard right up to the day he retired and always tried to find a better way of doing things. He was a stickler for accuracy and we still use one of his methodologies in the work we do here.
I am very sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers during this difficult time.

The Bocain Family, my sincere sympathy for your loss. Joe was my first room mate and mentor in my professional state career. I will always have fond memories of him and how he help me out. His crank calculator was a classic.

Thinking of you at this difficult time. Please let me know if there is anything at all I can do to help out.
I'd like to think he's in heaven right now having a party with my Dad and eating whatever he liked to eat before he was so sick. It helped me to picture my Dad fishing with all his old buddies that had gone before him and not being in pain anymore. Sounds silly but that's what I believe and it does help get you through imagining him enjoying himself again!
