To the Brogan family. In 1952 as a new high school graduate I worked in the old D & H Building for then Dept. of Public Works. I was 16 years old and I remember Joe as a young engineer who everybody liked. He was funny and kind and being a farm girl away from a small town for the first time I appreciated his kindness and his help in doing my first job. His obituary only confirms the kind of man he was. Please accept my sympathy and know that I was one of many to whom he lent a helping hand. God Bless!

Ceil, I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I will always remember Joe as a part of my life. When I was 10 or 12 years old, Joe was the one who took time to teach the hunters safety course in your living room. As a result, I was able to get my NY hunting license and begin to more fully enjoy hunting with my Dad. Memories I carry with me each day. Additionally, Joe was my Confirmation Sponsor. I even chose his name as my Confirmation name. I know that this is hard on you but I also know that Joe is in a better place. I'm sorry I can't be there at this time, but I wish you the strength of your family and close friends. Please know that both Liz and I are praying for you and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Brogan Family-
How sad I was to learn of the loss of your precious Joseph. When someone you love dies, it leaves an empty spot in your hearts which could never be filled by any other person. Soon, in a new world of god's making, all pain, suffering and sickness will be gone forever. Until then, I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
