Joseph Cioffi Obituary

Cioffi, Joseph F.
BRUNSWICK - Joseph F. Cioffi Sr., 92, of Brunswick, passed into eternal rest September 23, 2025, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born in Troy, and was the son of the late Carmine A. and Bernadina Marro Cioffi, and loving husband of Deanna Squadrito Cioffi of Brunswick. Joseph proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army, serving in Germany. Joseph worked for many years at Norton Co., in Watervliet, and also The Department of Housing and Renewal in Albany. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy. He devoted over 70 years as a volunteer fireman at Brunswick #1 Fire Department, serving as Fire Police Captain, one of his greatest loves, in addition to taking care of his family. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors and loved to fish, hike, and canoe, as well as go camping in the Adirondacks. In addition to his wife Deanna, Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph Jr.; and daughter, Deborah, of Brunswick. Joseph was a very proud grandfather of his grandsons, Marc Roulier and Paul (Liz) Roulier. Joseph is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Manella; and was predeceased by his twin sister, Lucy; sister, Jane White; and brothers, Louis and Ralph. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Church.
Contributions may be made in memory of Joseph to the Brunswick #1 Fire House, 566 Hoosick Rd., Brunswick, N.Y. 12180.
