Joseph C. Farina

Farina, Joseph C. COLONIE Joseph C. Farina II, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 14, 2022, at St. Peter's Hospital. He was born in Schenectady and was the beloved son of Mary S. Bleau Farina and the late Joseph C. Farina. Joe was a graduate of Niskayuna High School where he was a member of the stage band, and Siena College where he earned his degree in marketing. He attended The College of Saint Rose School of Music. For forty years, Joe was the proprietor and president of Albany Honda Motorcycles. The business has thrived in the Capital Region for over fifty years. Joe's lifelong passion outside of work was music. He was an incredibly talented guitar player and singer who performed with many local acts, including most recently The Hands of Time. With a strong mechanical background, Joe enjoyed restoring classical cars and attending local car shows. Joe lit up any room he walked into. He loved to entertain, feed his family and friends, and make people laugh. His most important accomplishments were being a wonderful husband and a great father. Joe cherished times with his friends and family. Joe was the beloved husband of thirty-three years to Colleen Conners Farina. He was the devoted father of Andrew Farina and Erin (David) Bushey. He was the brother of Charlie (Jane) Farina. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He will be dearly missed by his canine companion, Dusty. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joe's family on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Interment will follow in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
