Joseph Scialdone Obituary

Scialdone, Joseph ALBANY Joseph Scialdone, 57, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011. Joe was born in Albany, N.Y. on July 5, 1953 to the late Domenico and Victoria (Choppy) Scialdone. He was a graduate of the Vincentian Institute in Albany, N.Y., received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y., and was an employee of New York State Department of Higher Education. Joe is survived by his daughter, Victoria; and his son, Anthony; brother to Guy (Kristy) and Dominic (Sandy); uncle to Dominic (Audrey), Victoria (Joseph), Johnny, and Toni; great-uncle to Giovanni, Mimi, and Giuseppe. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary's Hospital for their exceptional care. Special thanks also to Joyce Scialdone for her caring and support. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rensselaer Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, N.Y. 12144 in memory of Joseph Scialdone.
