Joseph Tedesco

TROY Mr. Joseph Tedesco, 81, of Third St. in Troy, died Tuesday evening, January 28, 2003, at the Rosewood Gardens Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in S. Martino V.C. Italy, he was the son of the late Martino and Genoveffa Genovese Tedesco. Mr. Tedesco is survived by his wife of 61 years, Amalia Marotta Tedesco. Mr. Tedesco worked for the the City of Troy in the water department for over 20 years. He was a member of the Italian Community Center of Troy and a member of the Bocce league of the I.C.C. In addition to his wife he is survived two sons, Martino Tedesco and his wife, Maria of Wynantskill and Anthony Tedesco and his wife, Rosa of Wynantskill; and one daughter, Jennifer Tedesco of Troy. He was the brother of the late Rose Adamo and the late Jennie Tedesco. He was the brother-in-law of Armando Adamo and the late Dominick Tedesco. Mr. Tedesco is survived by ten grandchildren, Lia, Cynthia, Sabrina, Jennifer, Stefania, Lisa and Joseph Tedesco and Roberto, Michael and Sandra Guida. He is survived by one great-grandson, Joseph Bott; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral for Joseph will be held Friday morning at 8:45 from the Bocketti Funeral Home, 336 Third St., Troy and at 9:30 from St. Anthonys Church, State St., Troy where a Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Entombment, St. Marys Cemetery, Mausoleum in Troy.
