Joyce Connally Obituary

TROY Joyce Connally, 82, of Troy, died peacefully on October 27, 2006 at the Samaritan Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Lansingburgh, she was the daughter of the late John and Henrietta Hunter McClean and the wife of the late Robert Wilson and William Connally. Mrs. Connally was retired from the State of New York, working for the Office of General Services, and later from the department of unemployment in Troy. Joyce's dearest times in life were spent with her loving family and she always put the need of others first, making all who knew her feel special. She loved playing cards with her grandchildren and always wanted to stay at the party. She continually welcomed her family and friends in her home and was sure to offer a bowl of coffee ice cream. Survivors include her children, Robert (Patty) Wilson of Delmar, John (Fran) Wilson of Clifton Park, Joyce Ann (John) Worobey of North Greenbush, Mary Pat (Guy) Ragosta of Burlington, Vt. and James (Diane) Wilson of East Greenbush; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her cousin and dear friend, Grace Collins. Joyce was predeceased by her beautiful son, Michael Thomas, and her cousins, Gerrie McClean and Alma Rayher. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Augustine's Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes. Friends are invited and may call at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Avenue in Lansingburgh on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. If desired, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38173-0704 or to St. Coleman's Home, 11 Haswell Road, Watervliet, NY 12189.

To Jim, Diane and the Wilson Family,
I am very sorry about the loss of your Mom. I remember partying with her at Diane's Bachelorette Party. She was so kind and giving. She was also a lot of fun.... May all of the wonderful times that you shared, comfort you at this difficult time. God Bless all of you.
Love,
Kathy
