Judith Draper Obituary

Draper, Judith W. DELMAR Judith W. Draper, 76, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, following a short illness. Born in Albany on October 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Gertrude Wittemer Weis. Judith attended the Academy of the Holy Names, Hudson Valley Community College and Empire State College. She was employed at the N.Y.S. Dept. of Health for over 30 years. Judith was the widow of the late Raymond J. Draper. She is survived by her two sons, Randall John Draper (Kimberly) of Pittsfield, Mass. and Dennis Paul Draper (Christine) of Caroga Lake; her beloved grandchildren, Dr. Rachel J. Draper of Biddeford, Maine, Megan Schanbaum (Quinton) and their son, Ari of Plano, Texas; Cody R., Kirsten A. and Lauren A. Draper, all of Caroga Lake; brother, Richard J. Weis of Ravena; and a cousin, Bernice Rooney. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Academy of the Holy Names, 1075 New Scotland Rd., Albany, NY, 12208. applebeefuneralhome.com
