SLINGERLANDS - Karen Sue Springer, age 68, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February, 22, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Born in Albany and raised in Voorheesville, Karen was the daughter of the late William and Helen Kleinke Springer. Karen enjoyed listening to her favorite music, going to the Altamont Fair, and doing latch hook. She also enjoyed reminiscing about family and friends and all their good times together.
Karen is survived by her sister, Cheryl Appleby (David) of Voorheesville; and her brothers, William Springer (Valerie) of Delaware, Kenny Springer (June) of Berne, and John Springer (Theresa) of New Scotland. She is also survived by her niece and guardian, Dawn Appleby of Feura Bush. Karen was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and was blessed to have a second family at Lexington Center for many years. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her sister, Linda Leonard.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 27, at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Glenmont, in the spring.
