Keith Kotecki Obituary

Kotecki, Keith William LOUDONVILLE Keith William Kotecki, 60, of Loudonville entered eternal life on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, when he lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Notably Keith's worst loss, but certainly not his last fight. Keith graduated from Shaker High School in 1976 and received a B.A. degree from Norwich University in 1980. Keith had a 15-year career in medical sales with his territory stretching the northeast. Later he became a successful entrepreneur of multiple small business in the upstate region. Keith had tremendous natural athletic ability, exemplified by track and football scholarships at Norwich University. He was hardworking, tough as nails, and extremely resilient. Keith used Jimmy V's quote, "don't give up, don't ever give up" as fuel to be the best man he could for his family and himself. Apart from managing his companies, Keith enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He had a passion for football, boating, and snow skiing. His two children were the pride and joy of his life. Keith's legacy and zest for life will live through them for many years to come. Keith is survived by his son Dr. Keith Kotecki Jr.; his daughter Brielle Kotecki; eldest brother Stephen Kotecki II, youngest brother Paul Kotecki; his father Stephen Kotecki, and numerous nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Kotecki. A funeral Mass for Keith Kotecki will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 23, at Saint Pius X Church on 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, NY, 12211. All friends and family are encouraged to join us at this Mass to celebrate Keith's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Go Fund Me account at gofundme.com/6dmnbz-pancreatic-cancer-research to support Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Keith was part of the neighborhood gang on Chateau Court. Will forever remember sleigh riding from 9 AM to 9 PM back when Albany winters were cold and snowy for months. There were the pickup games of baseball and basketball and then hide and go seek. Keith was always the best athlete in the group. Was organized, polite, and smart. Had him earmarked for President of the USA. May he Rest In Peace and welcome us when we receive our call from the big guy upstairs. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kotecki clan. Keith, listening to the Beatles White Album here at the beach with a fire. No we weren't close. But We've done this before. So strong, tough man. Successful. Great kids' now adults whom I haven't met. As I listen and watch this fire I'm thinking of you. Risk taker, successful man. Bless you Keith. Rodger Norwich 80.

Sending our prayers your way... I didn't know Keith too well at school, but he was always a great athlete - and as is mentioned "tough as nails". Keeping his memories close to your hearts, and he'll always be with you.

R.I.P.kieth. you will be heartily missed. I remember when I came to your house on the bus from st.pius. my mom didn't no where I was. She was mad but you wanted me to come to your house so I did. You were fun to be around. The pain is gone now and now you can shine down on all of us. You will be a perfect angel.

Fond memories of Keith from 3rd grade on. Condolences to his family. A friend bumped into Keith a few years ago and they called me. It had been 40 years but it only took a minute for the laughs to start. God Bless
