STEPHENTOWN - Our much loved husband, son and brother, Kevin McDevitt, 41, of Stephentown, New York is at peace. He died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
Kevin was born on December 5, 1983. He attended Niskayuna High School, where he excelled at wrestling. He graduated from the automotive program at Hudson Valley Community College and became a GM World Class technician. He worked at several GM dealerships in the area. Kevin was a talented and skilled craftsman who would always offer help to anyone needing assistance. He was motivated, inspiring, generous and an adventurous outdoorsman. One of the happiest moments in his life was when he met and married Paige (Weaver) McDevitt. Other happy times were spent outdoors with Paige and family, especially time with his grandparents and niece, Parker June, with who he had developed a special bond.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paige; his mother, Pamela McDevitt; his father, Richard McDevitt, Jr.; his grandmother, Marilyn; his sisters, Megan and Samantha (Rick Newkirk); his cherished niece, Parker June McDevitt; numerous uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends. He is predeceased by his grandfather and best friend, Russell Boland.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, 810 Union St., Schenectady, N.Y. There will be a calling hour, in church, from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m., preceding the mass. Those wishing to offer memorials, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider a charity of their choice.
