TROY - Lawrence J. Kennedy, 59, of South Troy, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Ellis Hospital.
Born in Troy, he is the son of Kathleen Burke Kennedy and the late Lawrence P. Kennedy.
Larry was a member of the Local 190, he enjoyed playing chess, basketball with his nephews, and an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Larry also enjoyed attending daily Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Troy.
Survivors in addition to his mother; include his son, Lawrence P. Kennedy; brother, Joseph (Laurie) Kennedy; aunt and uncle, Barbara and Gordon Risk; nephews, Joseph C. and Michael P. Kennedy; and his best friend, Joanne Donnelly.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph's Church, Troy, with Father Joseph Ngo officiating, Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, Troy, on Monday morning, from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory would be appreciated and may be made to St. Joseph's Church Food Pantry, 416 3rd St., Troy, N.Y. 12180.
