Lisa, Heather and family,
I´m so sorry to learn of my cousin´s passing. Leona was one beautiful, person. My father, her Uncle Joe, thought the world of his niece.
She was so fortunate to marry your dad. Jim too was a very generous and kind person.
Aunt Bernice told me how hard she took Jim´s passing. Now they are together.
Hopefully, you will keep all the good memories of your dad and his farm... also, your mom and her love on restoring old furniture.

I was so sad to read about Mrs. Bishops passing. She was my favorite professor at HVCC and I credit her with me being the nurse I am today.
We lovingly called her " mommy".
She touched so many lives.
RIP and thank you.

I knew Leona from our days growing up in South Troy. Her grandparents and mine( the Rado family) were great friends. Our mothers were both active in the Holy Trinity parish. She was a few years older than I, and I always looked up to her as as great example of style and grace. I'm not surprised that she grew into a successful woman.

I am so sorry to hear about your beautiful Mom. While scrolling through the Obituaries this morning I saw her picture and felt I wanted to share my memories of her.
Several years ago she was my Nursing instructor at HVCC (My all time favorite by the way). I will never forget how she was able to teach and instill in these young, frightened, but eager to learn nursing students, the skills, knowledge and compassion for our patients. In a very stressful situation she would remain calm and be my source of encouragement to continue and persevere. I wish I could have thanked her for my love of nursing. I continued my education to become a Family Nurse Practitioner and will be forever grateful. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
