Leona Hull Obituary

Hull, Leona Kuziara WATERVLIET Leona Kuziara Hull of Watervliet passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 after a brief illness. She was born in Watervliet and has been a resident of the city most of her life. She was a graduate of Immaculate Concep-tion Grammar School and attended Watervliet High School. Leona was employed by Behr-Manning in Watervliet during World War II and retired from Sterling Drug in Rensselaer after 35 years of service. She was a lifelong communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Watervliet, a member of the former Pulaski Club Ladies Auxiliary also in Watervliet, and a member of the Polish American Congress Central Division of N.Y. State. During retirement she enjoyed traveling to various areas within the United States and abroad. She was daughter of the late Jacob and Katherine Serafin Kuziara. She was predeceased by twin brothers who died at infancy; her sisters, Helen Kuziara Ginsburg and Veronica Kuziara Simmons and her brother, Theodore Kuziara. She was survived by her loving sister, Theresa Kuziara Bunk of Watervliet; beloved aunt of Wayne (Betty Jean) Simmons of Rensselaer and their children Lindsay, Frank and Danielle; aunt of Barbara (Richard) Tessier of Conn., Thomas (Susan) Kuziara of Colonie and children Megan (Christian) Davis and Theodore Kuziara, Janice Schonwetter of Minn., Arlen (Bernina) Ginsburg of Va. and Linda (John) Montgomery of N.J. Also survived by several other grandnieces, grand-nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral will be from Parker Bros. Memorial 2013 Broadway Watervliet, Wednesday morning at 9:30 and 10:30 at The Church of St. Michael, Page Avenue Cohoes where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. Peter Tkocz, Rev. Carl A. Urban and Rev. Thomas Babiuch. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Colonie. Condolence page at www.wjlyonsfuneralhome.com
