Linda Casaly Obituary

Casaly, Linda Helen
BALLSTON SPA - Linda Helen Casaly, 84, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Charles Town, West Virginia.
Linda was born in Ballston Spa, N.Y., on February 19,1941, to Robert W. and Ruth Hoyt. She graduated from Ballston Spa High School in 1959. She went on to raise her family in Ballston Spa. Linda had a long and rewarding career in public service, working for the Saratoga County Office for the Aging, where she provided caring support for seniors across the community. After retiring, Linda remained busy, traveling to Florida each winter, volunteering at the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center, spending time with dear friends, exercising, taking courses at the Academy for Lifelong Learning, reading and doing crossword puzzles in ink.
Linda lived a life defined by kindness, selflessness, and quiet independence. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her loyal friendship, her keen sense of humor, and her gentle spirit.
Linda leaves behind her daughters, Christine Gray and Susan Fraser; her sons-in-law, William Gray and Todd Fraser; the lights of her life, her beloved grandchildren, Anna and Evan Gray and Ashton Fraser; her longtime companion, Ken Amery; her sister-in-law, Patricia Hoyt; and many dear friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Hoyt, and her uncle, G. Robert Coon, and her former husband, Richard Casaly.
The family would like to extend their profound appreciation to Hospice of the Panhandle for their compassionate care.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Ballston Spa with close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gateway House of Peace in Ballston Spa.
Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson, W.Va.
