Derrick, Lisa M.
WATERFORD - Lisa Marie Derrick, 61, of Valley View Ave., passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of Janet St. Pierre St. Louis of Latham and the late Gerald St. Louis. She was a 1980 graduate of Waterford Halfmoon High School.
Lisa was employed for 22 years at Ayco, in Latham and retired as Vice President of Operations. Lisa approached each day with warmth, kindness and a desire to help others and make an impact. She recently earned her Real Estate License.
A breast cancer survivor, she volunteered her time with several area charities. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially around the pool and at holiday time. She was an animal lover and leaves behind her canine companions Rodie and Bertie.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 30 years, Philip L. Derrick; and her children, Kristen Duncan (Suzanne Coyne) of Watervliet, John J. Duncan of Cohoes, Elizabeth Duncan (Robert Leoniak) of Cohoes and Nathan Derrick (Gisele Loh) of Waterford. She is the sister of Deborah Dozois (Keith Barbour) of Waterford and Karen Lambert (Charles Riley) of Cohoes. She is the proud grandmother of Charleston Rose Coyne-Duncan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford, from 2-5 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, N.Y. 12204.
