Livia Mormile Obituary
LATHAM - Mary Livia Mormile, 69 of Latham, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, March 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Aldo and Ruth Malossi. Livia was a 1971 graduate of the Vincentian Institute. She was a purchasing agent for the SUNY Albany Research Foundation for many years. Livia was an animal enthusiast. She loved her cherished family, especially her grandchildren.
Livia was the beloved wife of 49 years to Frank "Mugsy" Mormile. She was the devoted mother of Frank Mormile III and Christopher Mormile (Amanda Rubino). Livia was the grandmother of Kaiden and Remi Mormile. She was the sister of Nicholas Malossi. She will also be missed by her beloved dogs, Frankie, Ava and Willabean.
Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY, 12208 in memory of Livia Mormile.

My sincere sympathy is extended to Livia's family. I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but she was the Aunt of my late brother's wife, Deb Cote Deitz. Deb and her son are now the loving family of Tango the cat. I have only heard good things about Livia, and I, too am a major animal lover.
