Louis Brickman Memoriam

Brickman - Louis
In memory of Louis Brickman, 92, distinguished math professor emeritus, University at Albany. His absence is felt by all, especially his beloved wife of 67 years, Myra. Also survived by his loving children, Susan, David (Pattie), and Judy; as well as his grandchildren, Daniel (Emily), Rachel, Sara, Michael, Cal, and Lillian.
Lou was beloved for his gentleness and his loving kindness. He put his whole heart into all his hobbies. He was a lifelong fitness enthusiast and marathoner, bread maker, coffee roaster, and bridge player (Silver Life Master). He was an accomplished pianist, effortlessly playing an array of musical styles, with a particular fondness for classical compositions. Perhaps his most adored trait was his impish sense of humor.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 10, at 3:00 at Avila Retirement Community, 100 White Pine Drive, Albany. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Myra and Family,

Jim and I were sad to read of Lou's passing. Jim remembers Lou greeting him with a cup of coffee when he was raking leaves at our house. It was a cold day and Jim appreciated being invited in for that cup of coffee.
