She worked for more than 25 years in the banking industry in the Albany area and for the Sage College where she retired. She was the beloved mother of her three daughters, Johanna (Troy) Gascoyne of Leesburg, Va., Leah (John) Priddy of Fort Worth, Texas, Ellen (Christian) Mesley of Rotterdam; and her one and only son, Matthew (Christina) Decker of Troy. She is also survived by her husband's son, David (Bonnie) Pennucci of Litchfield, N.H. She will be forever in the hearts of her most precious grandchildren, Louisa Gascoyne, Paige Priddy, Jeffrey Kurtz, Deanna, Nicholas and Maura Mesley, Matthew and Anthony Decker, and Grace and Nicholas Pennucci. Lucia is also survived by her brothers, Rocco (Sue) Teta of Dunkirk, N.Y., Alfonso Teta of Clifton Park, and Patrick (Daveda) Teta of Newark, Del. Frank and the Teta Family,

The Laware Family and the Teta Family go back a long ways to the days of St. Patrick's School and 25th Street in Watervliet so you can imagine my grief when I heard that Lucia had passed away. Lucia and I were playmates, classmates but most of all, old friends. We would sometimes lose contact because I lived all over the U.S. and Europe but we always kept the friendship....Lucia was a beautiful, loving and kind person. I will miss her forever. I feel priviledged for having known her and being a part of her life. My heart felt condolences.

Dear Jodi, Leah, Ellen and Matt,
So sorry to hear about your Mom. She was the best! She went to such great lengths for us girls and cheerleading from driving a million girls all over, to lugging the pom poms and dyeing shoes green. She was an inspiration to all of us.
