Margaret Nichols Obituary

Nichols, Margaret Jean ALBANY Margaret Jean Nichols died on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Barbara. Jean was born on September 30, 1930, to Simon William "Bill" Shore and Harriet Martha Burns on their farm in the town of McDonough, N.Y. She graduated from high school in North Syracuse, where she met her future husband, Robert Nichols. They married on June 11, 1948, in Biloxi, Miss., where Bob was stationed by the Air Force. They spent the remainder of their service in Wichita Falls, Texas. They returned to Central New York in 1952, and lead a loving and full life together. They loved to travel and visited all of the lower 48 states. Bob died in October 2015, a loss that Jean felt daily. Jean was also predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Simon William Shore Jr. and Herbert Armond Shore. She leaves behind to mourn her loss her daughter, Barbara Nichols Randall (James Randall); son, Kenneth W. Nichols (Kris Korta Nichols); granddaughters, Brianna Nichols, Allison Buckingham (James Buckingham), and Holly Randall; grandson, Gil Randall; great-granddaughter, Aurora Buckingham; and great-grandson, Soren Buckingham. Jean loved flowers and it is her wish that you give a bouquet to someone you love. A bouquet of wild daisies always gave her joy. Please visit searsmiddletonmathewson.com
