Marie Frasier Obituary
ALBANY - Marie E. (Goes) Frasier, 95, died Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Wilhelmina (Weech) Goes. Marie worked for The National Commercial Bank (Key Bank) for 10 years and later for the Research Foundation at SUNY for 28 years. She was a longtime communicant of the former St. John's-St. Ann's Church of the South End and more recently the Parish of Mater Christi, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Marie was a member of the former Catholic Young Adult League. She volunteered for many years at St. Peter's Hospital with the Mobile Meals Program and at the food pantry at St. John's-St. Ann's Outreach Center.
Wife of the late Richard I. Frasier; sister of Joan Goes, Cornelius (Louise) Goes, Helen (the late Donald) O'Donnell and the late William Goes and Phyllis Mocker; sister-in-law of the late Wayne Frasier and C.H. Frasier; godmother of Thomas Erickson, Martha Ryan and the late Helene Erickson. She is also survived by nieces, Alicia (Keith) Ortale and Michele (Scott) Murray; a grandniece, Lauryn Stewart; and many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany. Relatives and friends may visit with Marie's family at Mater Christi Church prior to her Mass from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Those who wish may send memorial contributions in Marie's name to their favorite charity. Online condolences may be offered at danielkeenanfuneralhome.com
