WESTERLO - Marie C. Wiedman, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Marie was born in Queens on September 9, 1939, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Marie Russo Nicastro. She grew up in Corona, and worked for IBM. Following her marriage to Robert R. Wiedman in 1960, she became a homemaker. When her husband retired, the family moved to Westerlo. Marie enjoyed cooking and loved her grandchildren. She was well loved and will be greatly missed.
Marie is survived by three children, Doreen "Dee" Wiedman, Mark Wiedman and his fiancée, Melissa Butler, and Linda Gargul and her husband, Pat; one brother, Joseph Nicastro, and his wife, Fran; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert R. Wiedman; her children, Wendy Philby and Raymond Wiedman; her siblings, Fred, Frank, Salvatore Jr., Patricia Ann (age 15), and infant Patricia; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Wiedman.
A calling hour will be Monday, March 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at A.J. Cunningham Funeral Home, 4898 State Route 81, Greenville. The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in Saratoga National Cemetery.
