Mark Cavanaugh Obituary

Cavanaugh, Mark
TROY - Mark S. Cavanaugh, age 66, passed away on July 1, 2025, with his family by his side.
Mark was born in Troy, N.Y., on August 6, 1958, to parents Thomas and Patricia (Hansbury) Cavanaugh. He was raised and educated in Troy, and had attended Troy High School. He later was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, and went on to work for the Watervliet Arsenal and General Electric in Schenectady, as a toolmaker retiring in 2021.

His grandchildren especially filled his heart with pride. He will be remembered for his delicious apple crisp, which he enjoyed making and sharing with family and friends, at special times of the year.
Mark was the beloved husband for 46 years, of Jeanne (Haag) Cavanaugh; beloved father of Erik (Hannah) Cavanaugh; cherished grandfather, known as "Pa," to Charlotte, Logan and Carter; dear brother of Patricia (Matt) Pouliotte, William (Diane) Cavanaugh, Don Haag and the late Thomas, Mary Ann and Jimmy; devoted son-in-law of Barbara Haag and the late Heinz Haag; beloved nephew of Lawrence Morrissey and the late Meme Morrissey; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews; cousin of Ray; dear friend to many, especially Bill, Bob, John, Jonathan, Mike, Linda, John, Patty, Jim, Kathy and Mark.
