Mark Newbury Obituary
EAST NASSAU - Mark P. Newbury, 62, died suddenly on January 18, 2023, at home.
He was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Phillips) Newbury. Mark was a graduate of Columbia High School and served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a self-employed contractor for many years.
Mark was the proud father of Drew R. Newbury of Schodack; beloved brother of Diane Newbury of Philadelphia; and uncle of Honoria and John Berman. He is also survived by several cousins and many extraordinary friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service in the Unity Lutheran Church (formerly St. Matthew St. Paul's), 1500 Western Ave., Albany on January 28, 2023, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society would be appreciated.

I was so sorry to read this. Mark was a wonderful person. I went to HS with his Sister Diane, met Mark through mutual friends, and our Sons were in cub scouts together. My thoughts and prayers are with Diane, and all of those who loved Mark.

I am deeply saddened with this loss of a dear friend who was like family to me. The memories will live on. From our many escapades on Upper Saranac lake where I was welcomed into the Newbury/Van Aker family through the many times we all shared with Mark as we grew older and wiser. He was a true gentle man snd loving father whose chest would swell as he talked about his son, Drew, and how successful he has become. I´ll miss him and loved him like a little brother.
My deepest condolences to all of Mark´s family members. He was one of a kind!!!

Mark was the kindest and fun loving person. He was a best friend to all of us. Mostly mark was so in love and very proud of his son Drew.
He will be so missed.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of Mark. I have so many fond memories of Mark and the Newbury family throughout my times spent up in Saranac Lake and then when I moved up to the Albany area. He always made me smile and laugh. My thoughts are with Drew, Diane and the rest of his family.

So very sorry to lose a friend like Mark. I´ve known him since childhood as our families camped in Saranac Lake. I was a little younger but he always took time to visit with me and my sisters. Later in life I moved to the area and was able to work with him on a variety of projects and selling him some building materials. I will always remember his positive attitude and big smile he maintained even though the toughest of times. I am grateful for the opportunity to know him and his family.
